Getting the whole lump into the car is very straight forward. has the template for the main engine mount. The transmission with some minor mods slides right into place, and even bolts right up to the stock VW shifter shaft.

However, the flipped diff is a kit that costs 2500 bucks. Unless you are a transmission specialist having it properly installed will run you another 3 to 400.

Running the electronics are easy. Everything just plugs right in (using OEM to OEM). The biggest hassle aside from the cash to convert the trans, is running the cooling system, and the custom exhaust.

But the cool factor is only an add on to the reliability factor of having the subaru drive train.
