Its for mirrors, wipers and any canopy lights if installed. Yes you can go via flexible piping inside the hinge arms as I have also done on my first Nova. However it can be a pain disconnecting everything to remove the canopy, and even more of a pain to unthread the wires out of the hinge bars to remove those. So what Brett has found is far slicker, and I will be going this route on my scooby Nova
