Default New look

I was planning to seal off the scoops(air intakes) that are on the top of the fenders. They are of no use to me or function to the car but in a recent journey to the junk yards I found these small scoops. They don't fit as they are, but I could easily make them fit. It changes the looks of the sides alittle and they look a whole lot better than some of the scoops that are offered as options(I think)
I could maybe route the air to the radiator to assist in getting fresh air to it

Just a thought

Steady on there Brett, getting into Cimbria/SS territory there
Nice touch on a Nova though.

A very bad photo shop cut and paste rendering of how the scoop could be shaped.

I think it kind of lost something when I extended the lower part. Maybe not as much would look better

What do you think??

Maybe worth making??

It would be less work to cover up the intake with a scoop than seal it off completely.

It'll be a couple of months before I get to this so there's time to think about it

That last rendition looks better following the lines of the canopy.

Would it be possible to flip them and use them to extract air from the cabin? The little bit I drove my machine it would get stuffy quick inside at times. I set up my linear actuators with a vent position that lifts the canopy two inches at the push of a button, for use at stoplights to get fresh air.

I suppose anything is possible.
Don't you have any cabin air or heat in the car? You could use one of Nic's sump inline fans for quite a bit of airflow without having to pop the top.

No, the design is wrong for pulling the air out.

It is possible to make a vent that would pull the air out but not sure where the best place to put it

Side of ear window tunnel venting out on the 'V's of the rear body under the louvers or aircraft style rotating vents in the side windows, Mine has a flip out on the rear lower corner of the side windows and a two speed Ford fan in the front blasting into the footwells and dash vents, stuffy? never.

The modified scoops look good. But just because I can, here's the other point of view;

(I bet he thinks he was showing up my car. lol)

Sorry if I've spammed you too hard.

I had never noticed that extra ridge the Eureka has on the outside of the body line where it meets the canopy before I saw it in these shots, seems to be on both cars.
