Default Sunday afternoons endeavor

For those who don't know I like to use closed cell polyurethane foam to make one off parts.

After the foam hardens its easily shaped into parts. Then body filler is applied and then blocked.

Then mold release, gel coat, and fiberglass. Pop out the foam ect.

I like the styling of the Bernardi's air scoops so....

Here is Sunday afternoons endeavor

I totally forgot the Bernardi had those scoops. I like 'em - so long as they're functional! On Bob's white Bernardi they help feed air into the engine bay to keep the flow through the compartment. You could do the same here - or feed air through an oil cooler or into the carbs. Or even into the passenger compartment.. a multitude of uses!

yep that is intent to help cool the engine, if they were not functional they would just cause turbulence and increase fuel consumption. ie. drag
The vent in the side seems to be useless I want to get some air movement in the engine bay.

I squared off the rear of the scoops to mimic the square shapes on the rear of the body.
still not sure if i'm satisfied with shape of them

They certainly stuff some air into the engine area, the SS/Cimbria ones are slightly smaller I think than the ones you have fashioned.

Going by the 15" rims I would say about 10" but I'll check when next in the shed.
