small nuance, well after watching the engine, he says that he can make about 140 hp (not bad ..) for 4000 euros (180 - 190 hp gone cost alot more...), but he has an engine for sale, originally a 1800 cc, but bored out to 2400 cc, which has 260 hp! cromed completely, but i have to pay 6000 euros (think i do, or is this a bad idea????)

140bhp is more than enough for these cars. Remember, it's still on a 35 year old Volkswagen chassis that was meant to handle 40bhp and not much more. Personally, I'd simply use the engine you already bought and see how you like it - you can always upgrade later when you get a feel for the car.

Very nice! I like these T4 upright conversions more and more. One thing - when you install it, get that fuel filter out of the engine compartment and under the gas tank.
