I'm getting together my list of things to take for Carlisle 2013 next year, and one of the things that I want to do is provide a slide show and some of the home movies from CCC under the tent on Saturday. I do not have a laptop nor a projector to plug into it; my question is does anyone have a suggestion for a decent projector that won't cost an arm and a leg? It'll likely be a one-time shot and I don't think the rental places around here carry stuff like that. I'll need to get a laptop as well (I know, behind the times, but I like my desk tower), but that's no big deal.

Anyone for portable projector suggestions?

I plan on being at the show and I have all the gear that you would need. If interested I would be more than happy to bring the gear and help you set it up if your intereseted. How bright would it be in the tent and how big is the tent? I have a Sony Bravia 1080P projector, a portable outdoor screen that I built that measures 10'x20' and several laptop computers to choose from or we could compile all the data on a DVD and play it on a DVD or Blu-Ray player, both of which I have and could bring also. Just let me know what you want to do.

Thanks, Matthew

Matt, that would be awesome! It'll be during the day, weather permitting, of course. I don't know what size tent I'll rent this time around, but most likely somewhere around a 20' x 40'. I am still compiling information at this point. If I can swing my planned special guest out, he'll have a slideshow - I'll have to check to see if he has that on DVD or an actual slide!

Sounds great, keep in touch. We got hit pretty hard by the storm, can't say much now running on generator and low on fuel will go out any time now.

Talk to you later, Matthew

Will do! I'll PM you as we get closer with my phone and contact info. Be well! I think you guys inland got hit just as hard as the New York area; we escaped relatively unscathed here.
