Starting early, I know! Carlisle just sent out an announcement for a 20% off rate for the 2014 show if you book your car(s) early: Holiday Sale - Thank You For Your Loyalty And Support


This year we're going to play by ear. I'll reserve the same spot as last year as that seemed to work out pretty well despite the rain mid weekend. I'll see about the tent, though.. seems that most clubs of our size make due with the pop-ups that folks bring. That may be the way to go this year.

A reminder: if you do plan on attending, even for one day, when you register either on-line or at the box office, please tell them you are part of the National Sterling club. There are (minor) awards for the most cars present for a club and last year the Avenger club took 3rd place with 5 cars. We had 7. If nothing else, it's bragging rights!

Hope to see old and new friends this year! If the weather cooperates, maybe we can get a cruise in on Saturday or Sunday up into the mountains.

I will be there! This year, however, I will be wearing full-body kevlar armor along with chain mail underwear. Further, I will not be riding a motorcycle from middle TN, nor will I help steer your car off the trailer. I will be more than happy to push, pull, or just cheer you on from 50-or-so yards away. *yipes*:D

At this point, it is too early to know if I will have a Sterling/Sebring there, but I will be there (and all day Saturday, too). Looking forward to a great event!

Is the winter sale over? I saw 10% on the early registration page but not 20%. also didn't see national sterling on the club list. And last should I still list my buggy with the club? Didn't know if I'd park in a different section from you guys or not, first time taking a car to a show.

Anything new on us planning to meet and have lunch with Ed? As stated earlier, I am in with a newly modified engine on the Cimbria. Not much modification actually; I just replaced that wild cam with a new one that is more daily driver friendly and a little quieter. It was fun having more punch off the line, but for carrying on a normal conversation with my son going down the highway it was a little too loud.

Anyway, looking forward to this year's show and again, if there is anything I can do to help, just let me know. Thanks.

Never heard anything back from Ed, Fuzz. I know he's at the Philly Auto show until it's over (tomorrow). I guess we'll have to try to corner him at the show, maybe invite him to a cookout in the evening or something.

Brian, the winter sale is probably over but you can always give them a call to double check. No, the club has never been listed as we've never had enough people to show. They should have us listed at the registration building, though. As for parking the buggy.. you can park with the other buggies there or near us, wherever you feel more comfortable!

Thanks Rick I just saw the date of the first post, sorry for the confusion. I'll get my registration set up and hopefully park by you guys during the show so I can keep an eye on my buggy. I'm trying to talk the wife I into going Saturday and Sunday but if I can only get one which day is better normally?

I'm really looking forward to meeting you guys and of course seeing the cars in person! *thumbs up*

Friday is typically setup for the vendors and early bird cars. Saturday is the busiest time, Sunday, depending on the weather, the field is pretty much empty by 1PM. On the rare good sunny weekends car owners may hold until the awards are given out around 2:30.

Dunno what we'll do this year. We may have to camp out around Mike's trailer again for a cookout! We'll see what the weather brings.
