Center consoles

Came across this today in my adventures to the wrecking yard.
Thought it was different and maybe I can incorporate this feature into the console that I'll have to build.

Some nice ergonomic shapes included as part of that design. I'm sure with your mould making skills you would be able to incorporate it and make it look like it belongs in the Sterling. Also you get the added bonus of not needing additional cup holders by the looks of those recesses.

Personally I like the style of centre consoles in 2 seaters that rise at the back and follows the lines of the seat backs. Normally these come with additional storage compartments which in small cabins is always useful.

I couldn't find a good photo as an example as I've forgotten which cars I've seen them in. A quick google did find this to explain the style I was trying to describe, but there are ones with more detail and compartments that look better.

This was my own early attempt at making a console, which is along the lines of what I tried to explain above. Its dog rough, as is the rest of the interior as I just wanted it functional whilst I focused on the exterior modifications and finish. Now that its painted its time to redo all of the interior.

Going forward after seeing Brett mould making I'm seriously tempted to have a go and do it properly, although not being in the country for long makes this challenging.

I like the looks of that and you know if I did something like that I could probably put the AC/heater system back there and then run the duct system down the side pods to the front and into the dash vents.
The fuse box and relays are already back there and that would conseal them.

I will consider doing that*thumbs up*

That's kinda what I was going for in my design, couldn't take it higher at the back as some twit (me *idea didn't work*) had placed a pair of amplifiers across the bulkhead and I still needed to lift the box lid.
Nothing wrong with that wooden mock up Islandman, it's a strong base and just needs some smoother edges and imaginative trimming, which in wood is easier to do, nice lines though.
