Cool Tools: The proper jack for the job

As most of you know,...

I am about to complete a Porsche 944 turbo suspension and brake upgrade.
There is a specific method using two jacks to replace the rear suspension.

1.) to lift the car
2.) to hold the spring plate in place while bolts are installed or removed.

The first jack should effecivly, and safely hold the car in place. Given the bug pan is largely sheet metal there are only a few good places to lift the car.

So Ive landed a high lift 3 tons floor jack.

But to be safe(r) Ive also added a 2 ton cross beam for a secure lift and hold.

This little add on allow you to lift the entire rear, front, or side of the car evenly. A good add to any garage.
