Before anyone else get the jump.
Yes I am selling the Bernardi.
If someone from the group wants to buy it let me know I will cut a deal.
I hate to let it go but as my health is faltering I cant see holding on to it.
Oh no! Bob, I'm so sorry to hear that. I'll spread the word once you give it - I'll list it up on the national site. Weirdly, I don't have any large photos.. I'll see what I can cull from the site here. Call me if you need help.
High quality pictures would help the sale, especially when selling a car for $60k. Also would be good to have them for historic reference for the community.
I have been talked into keeping it as a show piece for my company.
Anyone is welcome to come down, take photos, and by all means take it out for a drive.
it needs to have the carbon blown out from time to time.
I absolutely agree that it's a rare example but it's still a cimbria based car and I haven't seen one Cimbria or Sterling sell for over $20K (even with tubular frames and v8 engines). It would be great if he gets the asking price as it would place this car in the more of a high end catergory cars. This would mean more bragging rights for the entire Sterling/Sebring/Cimbria community because of its heritage.
It's only a Cimbria in body. There is nothing at all in common with the Cimbria otherwise. The car was engineered to a higher standard with the frame and drivetrain to meet or exceed car standards of the day.
