Nose vents photos

Does anyone have any good shots up the nose of this car? Id like to see whats available there. It looks like the openings are plugged but the shape implies brake cooling. Im trying to get an idea of what could be done in the nose to open it up, and to make it really draw air in for a radiator mounted in the nose like Spacenuts car.

Well...yes, it can be done. The shape does imply brake cooling for a reason. The tub under the hood was to hold the spare tire - the outer edge of that tub is what you normally see in the photos. The two scoops empty into the sides of that tub and out the wheel wells. I don't have any real photos of that area - but I know someone who does. I'll see if he'll post them on for you!

I was looking at stuff on ebay, and saw this WRX hood scoop. Now could this be flipped upside down and used to a radiator vent in the nose? I think it would end up looking pretty good, kinda GT40 ish. But watching top gear episodes Im noticing there are alot of these type of hoods out there on performance cars. just imagine this shape upside down and facing backwards mounted flush into the bodywork.

*thumbs up* Why not - that's a great idea, as you'd just have to make a tunnel for the air to escape once through the scoop.
