Wheel adapters in the rear, 5 lug rotors in the front?

So after having some concerns about the excessive backspace on the sterling, and noticing some notching on the tire where it may have been rubbing the fender I have checked the backspacing on my current wheel tire setup.

Currently a hair under 5 1/2 inches (tire/wheel 4 1/2, wheel adapter 7/8)...too much. There is a disc brake conversion up front with drums in the rear.

My thought is this, since there are no clearance issues in the rear, could I just get front 5 lug rotors to het my backspacing down to 4 1/2 and leave the adapters in the back OR do any of you think that may cause tracking issues?

Thoughts?

I don't think there would be any tracking issues. I've never been a fan of adapters, so either revisit your rotors with the proper lug pattern or find different wheels. Might as well match the rear drums with the same lug pattern and get rid of those adapters, too!

Yeah... I was more curious about whether or not anyone knows of potential issues with tracking under the above circumstances. I see no inherent problem with adapters, unless they create clearance issues of course. Thanks for the 2 cents though!

:) You shouldn't see any differences in the way the car tracks or handles. Wouldn't be any different than putting a wider tire on the back. Might hunt freeway grooves a little more, but that's about it!
