Window Hardware

Does anyone know where you can get the bolts, nuts & spacers for the side glass on a Sterling? If locally available, what type of store sells them.

Hi Jim,
Unfortunately, there is nothing off the shelf for the hardware. Dave at SSC has hardware in stock; if you scrounge the local scrap yards, some of the pop-out windows in vans and SUV's use the same basic mounting bolts (through the glass). You'll need to find a set that actually has the plastic or rubber bung that fits into the hole, though - that provides the barrier between the bolt and the glass and you'll avoid any unwarranted shattering. Is it just the bolts you're looking for or the entire hardware/hinge setup? SSC carries those, too (http://www.shop.sterlingsportscars.com/Rubber-trim-hinges-hardware-and-other-prarts_c9.htm), and search through Warren's posts about his Cimbria hinge setup.

Thanks Guys

I hadn't thought about van windows. I just need the bolts, nuts and bushing. If I can't find something from the locaal dealers, I'll go to Sterling

I would think the hardware off of the rear windows of full sized vans and mini vans would work, and could be had at most junk dealers prey cheap.
