Wiper wiring

I double checked today and it's an '82 switch and I did notice the fact, that from the factory, it controls the ground and not the + side.

I was going to go with the replacement to the Bosch to keep things simple and direct bolt-on but I'm pulling my hair out now as to the best approach. I'm OK with OFF-LO-HI with park I don't need fancy. *hmmm*

No need to loose hair over it*laugh*

I guess the major thing we need to know to figure this out is what wiper motor is going to be used so we can figure out what wiring will need to be done


I think you do have a choice of a 3 or 4 wire motor that will work.
The motor and mounts are the same its the park feature thats different

My requirements are bolts onto the stock mounting plate. I meant to call Gerald (busparts.com) guy to see the options he had.

That schematic that uses the relays looks like it can be used for either the 3 or 4 wire wiper motors.

Just need to omit the park wire to convert to a 3 wire wiper motor.

I'll look at it closer when I get some time just to make sure

Threw this a few other places but here is how I wired my GM column to a 5 wire Wexco H131 motor. I have HI, LO and Park but no intermediate which works for me.
